Our instruction-based curriculum includes Holistic Wellness & Mindfulness courses that will enhance our clients lives and provide them with the knowledge and tools to live happy and healthy adult lives. ​
HOLISTIC WELLNESS
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Next Steps Holistic Wellness Tutoring Course is a comprehensive and inclusive program designed specifically for adults with special needs over the age of 21. This program aims to enhance the overall well-being of participants by integrating various therapeutic and educational activities. Our holistic approach combines social skills training, community integration, art and music therapy, and adaptive physical wellness, including yoga and dance. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of our participants, fostering personal growth, social connection, and a healthy lifestyle.

1. Social Skills and Social Games
Our social skills segment focuses on improving communication, empathy, and interpersonal relationships. Through engaging and interactive social games, participants learn essential social cues, appropriate responses, and conflict resolution. These activities are designed to be fun and educational, helping individuals build confidence and form meaningful connections.
2. Community Integration
We believe in the importance of community involvement and the sense of belonging it brings. Our program includes community outings and activities that encourage participants to explore and engage with their local environment. These experiences foster independence, social responsibility, and a greater understanding of community resources and services.
3. Art and Music Therapy

MINDFULLNESS
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Next Steps "Mindful Eating and Nutrition Tutoring Class" is designed specifically for adults with special needs over the age of 21. This comprehensive and supportive program aims to empower participants by teaching them the principles of mindful eating and essential nutritional knowledge to enhance their overall well-being and independence.
